Let Us Bear Witness to the Reign of God: Reimagining Lasallian Education in the Name of Justice

ABSTRACT

Grounded in a rich reading of key Church and Institute events and texts since Vatican Council II, the author issues a clarion call for Lasallian action on behalf of justice and participation in the transformation of the world. He elucidates the progressive and consistent line of thinking of four recent superiors general of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in asserting the indissoluble link between human and Christian education and the promotion of justice. The Lasallian commitment to build God’s reign is herein reimagined in the name of justice.
