ABSTRACT

This essay proposes a vision of and concrete proposal for Lasallian accompaniment and spiritual direction. Grounded in the charism of Saint John Baptist de La Salle and influenced by the vision of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the proposal unfolds in three parts: an explanation of the idea of accompaniment, an exploration of the practice of spiritual direction, and a consideration of discernment.
