Brother Charles Hilken, FSC, is a professor of Medieval History and the director of the Bishop John S. Cummins Institute for Catholic Thought, Culture, and Action at Saint Mary's College of California. He earned his PhD and MA in Medieval History from the University of Toronto and his bachelor's degree in History from Saint Mary's College of California.
