Abstract
The article tells the story of AXIS: Journal of Lasallian Higher Education from its origin in 2007 as a grass-roots initiative at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota to its transition in 2023 into being a collaborative project jointly sponsored by the Region of Lasallian North America (RELAN) and LACU (the six Lasallian institutions of higher education in the USA).

About the Author
Brother William Mann is president emeritus of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and editor-in-chief of AXIS: Journal of Lasallian Higher Education. He is a former vicar general of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (2000-2007) and the immediate past president of the International Association of La Salle Universities (2015-2018), who earned his doctorate in ministry at Colgate Rochester Divinity School.
