About the Author
Monika Hellwig (1929-2005), a renowned educator, theologian, and author, was for more than three decades a professor of theology at Georgetown University. She also served as president of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) from 1996-2005. Her doctorate was earned at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
