Shifting the Narrative: De La Salle at Parmenie

ABSTRACT

This paper investigates the history of De La Salle and the Brothers of the Christian Schools through the lens of religious and historical displays. The author utilizes a qualitative approach, related to museum studies. The paper evaluates early stained glass depictions of De La Salle’s life and compares them with recent museum exhibitions. It also asserts that Saint La Salle’s religious retreat at Parmenie, France, has become an integral part of the core narrative for Lasallians in recent years.
