Tim Coldwell, M.A.

Abstract

Tim Coldwell reflects on a transformative moment when a student’s observation revealed a disconnect between his teaching and spiritual practice. This sparked a shift toward integrating Scripture more deeply into his teaching. He explores the Church’s enduring paradoxes—between tradition and openness, catechesis and evangelization—and finds solace in the creative tensions modeled by Jesus and De La Salle. Embracing mystical realism, Coldwell discovers a spirituality that holds contradictions in sacred balance, offering a path to integrity and hope amid life’s inconsistencies. His journey affirms that living faithfully means dwelling within paradox and mystery.
