Abstract

Last year, the Lasallian Region of North America celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Huether Lasallian Conference with an inaugural higher education colloquy. Held at the Q Center in Illinois, it attracted participants from all six U.S. Lasallian colleges and universities. Topics included Lasallian pedagogy, faculty formation, collaborative inquiry, and spirituality. Grounded in current educational challenges, discussions emphasized the distinctiveness of Lasallian practice. The event highlighted the importance of mission, community, and holistic education. A second colloquy took place in November 2024 in Baltimore, focusing on “the vocation of teaching.”
