This paper is from Pope Francis to the Lasallian family on the 300th anniversary of the death of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. Pope Francis highlights the creativity and innovation of De La Salle in his vision of the school, concept of the teacher, and in teaching methods.

Pope Francis
Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis on March 13, 2013, when he was named the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the first pope from the Americas, and he took his papal title after Saint Francis of Assisi of Italy.
