Lasallians in the World Solving Real Problems of the World: Research Agenda of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) Revised

ABSTRACT

During its January 2016 meeting, the Executive Board of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU), revised its research agenda, originally published in 2013. A review of research progress since that time affirms the value of the research agenda. This revision affirms the diversity of the institutions in which research takes place; continues to advocate for strategic research that explicitly places faith and scholarship in the service of society around the themes of food, nutrition, and health; sustainability and the environment; and education and learning innovations. The agenda encourages administrators and scholars in Lasallian higher education to establish inter-institutional research partnerships in a variety of forms responsive to local manifestations of the identified themes.
